In her spare time, Dr. Vacendak loves to do yoga, read, travel and spend time at her cabin in Alaska.

Dr Daniel 001

Dr. Daniel Vacendak

Dr. Daniel Vacendak is a Hampton Roads native and graduated from Norfolk Academy in 2002.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wake Forest University in 2006.  Dr. Vacendak then went on to obtain a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011.  Before returning home to Hampton Roads to join his mother at Vacendak Dentistry, Dr. Vacendak practiced dentistry in Charlottesville, VA.

While he enjoys all fields in dentistry, Dr. Daniel Vacendak has a specific interest in community service and dento-alveolar surgery.  As a student, he attended multiple Mission of Mercy projects to provide dental care to those without access in under-served areas in Virginia, including Wise, Orange, Roanoke, and the Eastern Shore.  While practicing dentistry in Charlottesville, Dr. Vacendak worked a few days every week at the Charlottesville Free Clinic, providing emergency and basic dental care to those without access.  These patients often were medically compromised.  He also developed an active interest in dento-alveolar surgery, and during school, Dr. Vacendak was awarded the Academy of Osseointegration’s Outstanding Student in Implant Dentistry award in 2011. He is also a member of the Academy of General Practice Orthodontics and a member of the Seattle Study Club.

Dr. Vacendak is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
